PATTERN OF EXAMINATION

It is mandatory to take ALS (Assessment of Listening and Speaking Skills) in English and Hindi. The overall assessment of a student constitutes both scholastic and co-scholastic areas. The scholastic grading shall be on the basis of 8 points grading scale.

 The student will be assessed in co-scholastic areas on the following parameters:

  1. Work Education (Skill-based activities resulting in goods or services useful to the community).
  2. Art Education (Visual and Performing Arts).
  3. Health and Physical Education (Sports /Martial Arts/Yoga, etc).
  4. Discipline (Attendance, sincerity, behaviour, values, turnout, respect for rules and regulations, attitude towards society, nation, and others).

The Co scholastic areas shall be graded as per 3 point grading scale.

The Evaluation pattern shall be followed as per the latest CBSE guidelines. It is mandatory to take ALS (Assessment of Listening and Speaking Skills) in English & Hindi. All projects and practical files of different subjects are to be submitted by defined dates.

The Evaluation pattern is strictly as per the latest CBSE guidelines. It is must for all the students to take ALS (Assessment of Listening and Speaking Skills) in English. The projects and practical files of different subjects are to be submitted in time. The students of Class XI will be assessed on the entire syllabus of the Academic year.
The Weightage of different examinations for cumulative results is as follows

  1. Periodic I & II 20%
  2. Half Yearly Examination 30%
  3. Final Examination 30%

POLICY REGARDING ABSENTEES IN ANY EXAMINATION

  • Appearing in Periodic One, Half Yearly Examination and Pre Board I & II Examination is mandatory.
  • No examination will be conducted either before or after the scheduled date and time.
  • Exam dates are decided in advance.
  • If a student has not appeared in an examination, she/he will be marked absent and will be awarded a ZERO.
  • 75% Attendance is a must for a student to appear for Board Examination.
  • The school sends a report of attendance to CBSE in the first week of February and in case a student falls short of the mandatory attendance, then he/she will not be eligible to appear in the Board examination.

PROMOTION POLICY

  • No overall grading shall be calculated.
  • A student needs to secure 33% in each subject in the final examination as well as in cumulative score, in order to be promoted to the next class.
  • If a student fails to secure the same in only one subject in the Final Examination he/she will be eligible for a compartment examination.
  • If a student fails to secure 33% in two or more subjects in the Final examination, the student will have to repeat the class.
  • The student will have to secure 33% in a subject in the compartment exam to be promoted to the next higher class.
  • The syllabus of the compartment examination in a subject will be the same as that in Final Examination.
  • There is only ONE ATTEMPT for qualifying for the Compartment Exam.
  • Unfair Means: Students found using any unfair means during any of the examinations, will be awarded zero in that subject.
