STUDENTS AND ENVIRONMENT
The learning for students to show their attitude toward caring of environment is a pivot role to play by the school. The surroundings of school has green environment, helping students to understand the concept of green minds. Students are allowed to go around and play. The classes with experiencial learning are conducted beyond the four walls of classroom. They sit under the tree, feel the breeze, feel the enormous vibration of bees, and get to study the subject. These world-class facilities at NRI Global Discovery School has been a paradise.
NURTURING PROGRAMS FOR LEARNING
The uniqueness of our school programs are the example of bringing students to the core of understanding the environment. The activities of bringing everyone together to a place for planting trees & plants on Environment Day. The hands-on learning activity is the real learning for the students. The students were brought together to express their views and perspectives on saving trees through a program called VANMAHOTSAV. Another unique feature of NRI Global Discovery School are the AHA Days. Students from the Pre-Primary Grades were taught to celebrate days according to the colours. The Monsoon is the preparation of Green AHA Day to understand green.
The students of Gardening club put their hand in mud, dug the soil themselves to prepare the kitchen garden, area dedicated to medicinal plans, and area dedicated to ornamental plants. Altogether, the school has ample activities to activate the young minds for going green.
CONSERVING THE ENERGY
NRI Global Discovery School is the only school in Bhopal where there is no Carbon Emission. School uses Solar Panels to reduce the carbon footprint. This has increased the efficiency of the power supply. The infrastructure of our school is at world world-class level. The school kitchen runs on the pipelines on no carbon emission policy.
WASTE MANAGEMENT AT PAR WITH POLICIES
The school do not throw any garbage to any place or a pit. It has zero tolerance regarding this concept. The green dustbins are the part of school which reflects that the surroundings must remain green. The waste material coming out every day is sent for recycling. Students at all levels understand to keep their ambiance in a perfect order.
TRIPS TO FOSTER UNDERSTANDING OF SUSTAINABILITY
Students at NRI Global Discovery School visit parks and monuments on regular basis. Keeping a curriculum based on sustainability and conservation is an integral part at our school. They are allowed to interact with people to tell them about the importance of green environment. Our future generation is the leading light for 2030.
THE PLEDGE FOR FOSTERING ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS
The students have theme assembly at various occasions, thrice in a week to talk about the relevant issues persisting in the world and India. They keep in mind to talk about various issuses related to environment. They a ready to take up the charge of keeping the planet Earth to its core. The seminars conducted in classrooms and on the stage are the proof that our students will stand on the world stage to make their voices heard. They have the endurance to fight for making this Earth a better to live.
